It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly, who errs, who comes short again and again, who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat...

What can I say! That’s a quote from Theodore Roosevelt and brought to my attention by Brene Brown. If you haven’t heard of her, look her up, her TedX Talk, her podcasts with Oprah Winfrey and the Call to Courage documentary (?) on Netflix.

Everything you want is on the other side of fear...

Fear is the biggest barrier to achieving your dreams. So, I am committed to feeling the fear and doing it anyway and stepping outside my comfort zone each and every day to reach my goals.

If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you...

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. It is only when you challenge yourself to try new things and learn new skills that you can grow and move towards your goals.

Get up, dress up, show up and never give up...

A goal is just a dream unless you are willing to put in the work. You have to know where you want to go and then put 100% effort into getting there – even on those days when you just don’t feel like it.
